The Pilgrim

The Pilgrim

A Chapter by Wondering Mind
"

To my soulmate.

"

No angel,

yet bliss I found

in your loving embrace.

In you, my dreams came true.

With you, Love was born and life has grace.

For you I will be forever and always

the pilgrim bound to your time and space.

This is a great truth. Love is not simply a state which happens then remains. It is a pilgrimage that we travel along adapting, considering, making allowances. Relationship adapts as life moves along a road. it is never still; it is therefore 'a pilgrimage for two'. You highlight profound thoughts.

I have a love/hate relationship with that whole soul mate thing . . . it frustrates me to know that there have been connections and that that person is out there somewhere . . . maybe one day, we will walk together again

Beautifully penned words and sentiment here. I like the structure of this piece too, the way it cascades down the screen..different, but cool...:)

oh my!! this is so spiritual - so full of love - divine, it is - this poem of yours!! - the sensitivity, the tenderness, the trust in forever - is magical! - your poem for your soulmate - has brought a bright, starlit night sky - in through the window - and illuminated darkness - so beautifully delicate - so serene - and the surrender - at the end - "the pilgrim bound to your time and space" - profound!!!

This is radiant and deeply moving. A beautiful story of unending love and timeless devotion. I enjoy the analogy of "Pilgrim".

Your poem made me realize that we are all "pilgrims" on this journey of life and love.

Fantastic write, my friend!
