Mankind?!

Mankind?!

A Chapter by Wondering Mind
"

'In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act'- George Orwell

"

I was too young then,

Four going on to five,
to know, to understand but, I’m still alive.

I live to tell my tale.
For three days and
four nights
holding on to my headless mother’s hand.
                We, a family of four
               caught up in a fight
               of too many wrongs
           and much pretended “right”.
On that fateful night,
our roof collapsed
and my dreams died.
                                I cried,
for three days and
four nights,
with only echoes of my tears
to embrace and comfort my fears.
Since then, my tears have dried,
                       I cry no more,
                       I’m older now,
though it’s only been days.
          I now know that Karma
                         will settle my score,
                                     in spite of a world,
           that has gone deaf
                      and is obviously blind.
                     I believe in my Creator
                         and trust mankind.

..yes, I hear you. I think Israel is in the 3rd phace of this war, the psychological one. But how can we say anything about it. Are we in their consciousness..
I think, humanity didn't learn anything, wars always were and always will be, everything is politics.

Such absolute horror! Atrocities that we cannot begin to fathom in the name of WHAT? God help us.
This is brilliantly delivered. Your words made me feel as I was the one holding the mother's body! I had not read the story, but now I know of it.
Well done!!

I'm pretty sure I've read that article - or something similar, anyway. It's a very sad idea to realize that our world isn't as perfect as we thought. But you have just the right amount of talent to be able to stifle this kind of sympathy in your writing. It really makes you think....you're one of the few people I know that is able to pull this off. Thumbs up!
