Mermaid

the mind moving
in aqua-flow
poetry

 

in open waters
I dived to see
her deep sea

a child’s memory
           a fairytale
            a song of sweet
               innocent history

 

a glimpse
she’s gone

 

I faintly heard
the sea-bed called

her name
