watching maple leaves, maybe

in unison,
 
in a river of love
they twirled
into trance

 

their seal of love
spun and swirled  then
signed with romance

 

 

but

 

oblivion concealed
a deadly deal
in

a desperate dance

I don't know why but this makes me think of the mating rites of the praying Mantis,
a dance of love camoflaged (msp?) in the leaves and then she'll eat her mate, hardly seems worth it, but his offspring will live on to dance the dance again, the ultimate male sacrifice.
