Memories

Memories

A Poem by wordman

In the misty waters

of my mind

I reminisces of the hallowed

memories that I left behind

Once as vivid

as night and day

now only misty memories

slowly fading away

Fading away

like a gentle breeze

on a summer`s day

but every thing must fade away

Even those hallowed memories

of me and you and the love

that we once knew...

You can feel the pain and loneliness of past love once secure but went adrift and just out of reach of the strong ropes you had to hold it secure nicely penned

Sounds like an old sixties song I once heard from the hollies or the turtles.

this is a bitter sweet write wordman. love may die. it happens all the time. and all we have left is memories that we keep and cherish. I think it's a shame that memories, too, can fade away.

The word usage and flow of the lines is beautiful in this write. A gentle breeze blowing the memories away. Valentine
