A Single Tear

A Single Tear

A Poem by wordman
"

"

It seems i have fallen from your grace

i no longer see your face

so i sit to write but the words wont come

Tears roll down my face

it seems i have fallen from your grace

down trodden and all alone

no one to call upon

A deaf ear has now taken the place

of my God and his grace

though i walk through the valley of death

i do fear evil i feel alone my heart cold

and out of place

On my knees

on my face

praying to God to once

more show me his face

But not a sound

do i hear

only feel the warmth

of a single tear...

Thanks for sharing your spiritual side. I think many people can identify wih this piece. We all have those times when we feel disconnected and it is a lonely, barren place to be. Your words describe it very well. Nice work! I did want to mention in the second stanza, correction in the last line-should be "call upon", not "call up on."

I wrote a poem called a Single Tear - I must say I do like your version, you seem to cut right through the layers and the pics seem to give your words a perfect setting, heating up the warmth of that single tear even more that it already was X

thank you for the visit !
The ending couldn't have been any more subtle and good...
The second last stanza was lingering and powerful, and I loved how you didn't let the ball drop in the last one as well..!!

at last we are truly left alone with our tears and sorrows..but during the victory there are never a shortage of clapping sounds..so strange
It's really beautiful and the picture perfectly carries the meaning here

my whining side lol ,thank you for reading
Life can be so cruel, cuts right through emotions and leaves them shredded. Tis a bad wretched time which you've written about with immense control yet sincerity. Whether or not this pain is ongoing on not.. Time holds so many memories and scars.

Fine writing highlighted by that picture of snow.. the long cold road ahead.

It was my pleasure.
Life can wear us down and we may lose are way. With the simplest of functions we find hope. A single tear for you reunites an emotion and even lights your way. Very Nice, I love the power in a single tear. God Bless
