hearts and sorrow

i wish at night,
dream in the day.
but god knows,
there is no way.

they say the pain will fade,
that it will go away.
i give him a smile,

but he can't see the wound

he has made.

though i will see him tomorrow,

my heart fills with sorrow.

because deep down i know,

i've got to let him go.
