A Poem by Aly

I try to let go

But you keep me here

You pull me back

Claiming this is my home

My mind wants out

My heart wants your love

You just keep me hanging on

Even though I walk free

You still control me

Beating me senseless with your manipulations

I am caged by this need inside

I feel my light diming inside

Every moment we had touched me

Without realizing it I was giving you everything

Every smile you had

Gave me a bleeding heart.

You bled me dry

I bled for your love

Why do you keep me around

I know you love her

But you know I love you

All you’ve given me is emptiness inside

Author's Note

Aly
It's been forever since I've posted something but I decided today I wanted too. I recently started this two days ago and edited it again today but it still isn't complete. It's suppose to be a song but this is as far as I seem to be getting. Tell me what you think.

Inspired by Sara Bareilles song "Gravity" and "Round and Round" by Imagine Dragons

Love is so unfair, how it makes us chase each other around, I hope you / your character finds love
