Soundly Free

Soundly Free

A Poem by Jamie

You are gladly lovely.

And you are soundly free

Of all the stories and expectations

Of how you should be.

And you are madly broken

From all the whirring blurs,

Of tears, cries, and sacrifice.

But you focus on what’s stirred.

You are widely acknowledged

For who you want to be.

Give me a piece of your wisdom,

You’ve already got a piece of me.
