The Cost?

When you are lost,
Count not the cost
Of being found.
Put your heart on a plate of forgiveness.
Allow sad memories to flee from your mind.
Remember to treat yourself gentle and kind.

Self-love is often a wonderful cure!

If all seems a ruse
Reconnect the fuse.
Explore theories sound.
Seek advice and counsel of the wise sage.
Open your spirit to novel opportunity.
Heed your conscience; drown not in futility.

Inner voices guide us to truth!

Do what is right.
Bask in love's light.
Discover truths unbound.
Seek contentment with actions good.
Tuck sorrow and pain of past away.
Enjoy euphoria of a fresh sun kissed day.

The joy of being found is well worth the cost!

Sometimes to open oneself up and explore new possibilities is the hardest thing to do.. trust is a hard action in a world where so many bask in bringing other's spirits down. You are right though.. to overcome that you must love yourself.. and not let those who hurt you change you.. or strike back and stoop to their level. Moving on and forgiving.. sets yourself free as you only do damage to you by staying stuck in such a bitter place.. hurting any chance of making any new good friendships or relationships... This was very full of so much that so many people could use reading and trying in life. Forgive those who don't even forgive you.. for not having the strength to move forward and just take those steps yourself... by yourself if needed. I loved the positivity that rang from your soul. This was a brilliant and much needed to read review! Bravo.

Very wise. A little easier said than done, but it absolutely is a way to "fix" things that is within our control. A positive, upbeat, and inspirational write. Excellent!

Yes, the cost is most expensive, and being found is most certainly priceless. Thank you Sheila, for sharing such wisdom. We all need a kick in the pants to remind us of just why it is we go through our sorrows. Outstanding!

This is beautiful and inspiring. It also flows well with good meter and rhyme. I believe one of the hardest things in life for us to learn is to forgive and love ourselves. Your poem is a refreshing beacon of light to help lost souls find peace and happiness. Very nicely done and illustrated with great pics too.

your words of wisdom are again priceless... we are prone to be harshest on ourselves when others forgive... but to dwell on it is sure to affect you further and cause a domino effect on your life... often we caulk things up to we are human and error... now if you learns something from the mistake then that is the first step to moving forward.

A very inspirational and inspiring poem.
