Dream Demon

Basically I had a bad dream woke up and started writing. It started around 2:04am and I finished it around 2:29am, be advised I was half asleep when writing this. Original 04-16-09

Dream Demon Dream Demon

Leave me alone,

In the safety of my home.

I saw you for the first time

I know that you're there,

Back in the shadows without a care.

Draining my back of sweat salty fear,

Only to have me fighting back with tears.

I can still feel you latched onto my back,

Hoping for another night to attack.

 

Dream Demon Dream Demon

Please go away

I don't want you here

You cannot stay.

How ever much?

How ever long?

It does not matter your touch is haunting,

But my will is strong.

 

Go away Dream Demon

And take nothing more than your head

So I can close my eyes from reality and sink into my bed.

This is not a request

This is a command

Go away Dream Demon

And take all of my Nightmares who are Damned.

I love it! You convey the feeling of being haunted by the dream even though your awake. Very moving indeed.
I'm sure other's will share some of the same feelings you had when you woke and wrote this.
