~Oceans Gods~

~Oceans Gods~

A Poem by Darkblushedink
"

We don't know the truth about the sea!"

"

Sea gods are hidden,

Within morning tides,

And behind midnight moons,

And within the evening lights!

People see,

When at shore,

Growing currents,

And nothing more,

Than hear a secret,

Of the sea,

“Thou who sails,

Sails on psalms of nymphs,

Who push the boat across the sea,

Thou who washes himself at bay,

Is cleansed by guardian sprites,

Those who drown at sea,

Become part of the Atlantis underneath,

And those who see tempests rise,

Must know that the gods are at war,

The clouds are angels,

Watching over thou,

As he sails to trade with thee,

What he is unaware of are the mermaids underneath,

The sea ain’t calm,

Its another universe,

Full of gods and spirits and legends,

Mermans cling to the bottom of the ship,

And lovers of thou watch from underneath,

They paint the sea as if its still,

To hide their bustling towns in it,

They hide the magical nymphs and gods,

Who lay under their vessels,

Do thee know that the sea ain’t water,

It’s the psalm of Titan underneath vessels!”

Swim in it and drown in it,

It will grant you your wish,

It’s not water you sail on,

It’s the hands of gods and kings!

Sea gods are hidden,

Within morning tides,

And behind midnight moons,

And within the evening lights!

The sea is such a mystery and magical all at the same time. I love how deep (no pun intended) with this.

Thanks sooooo much! :)
I instantly thought Hercules or Percy Jackson when I read this. It's really good and I LOVE the descriptive detail. I could almost imagine myself being in an ocean and just watching Sea Gods (Neptune or Zeus) fight.

Always a pleasure :)
i like the repeat of the first verse at the end....there is mystery and intrigue in this write...as in life there are monsters who lie below the surface, hidden from view...but they will rise up...

quite a good write...careful of grammar...the title..Ocean's Gods or Oceans' Gods

and a few times in the poem...should be "it's" rather than "its"--

but nonetheless...very intriguing write.
