Salacious Dreaming

Salacious Dreaming

A Poem by Stacy Purvis

He said he couldn’t wait to touch me. He didn’t realize he already did.
I couldn’t wait to feel him -his thoughts, already inside my head.
I tried to let him go, but the G-force kept me grounded.
All of the accusations were fabricated, most of them unfounded.
I tried to roll a natural 20, but somebody stole my die.
I haven’t moved a goddamn inch, but I’m running out of time…
Oh, but isn’t it a mystery? The intensity of my propensity?
I didn’t come here just to dance and meeting you wasn’t by chance.
Soon the clock will strike its chord, that old familiar ring.
And we’ll run out of words, my friend. No more songs to sing.
