The Plummet

The Plummet

A Poem by Gitana Deneff

A sickness sweeps over me

Like a cold knife plunging into me

When fear suddenly latches onto me

And my acid legs collapse from under me.

Now the rusty blade works its way through me

As my life flies right past me

While the stinking poisoned bugs crawl on me

Rotting in me

So my world can dissolve

Around me.

harsh and to the point... I like the way you have ended with 'me' - such dramatic impact...
