reunite

reunite

A Poem by Kimberly Wolke

Trees scream howling at the night
Burning leaves chasing in delicate flight
The moon stings the cool air with reason
While copulations are fought like old Battle's treason
What lies behind those eyes?
Death,decay,maggots,and flies?
Life,light,and subtle lies?
Who is the conductor on this thin blanket of earth?
Will we open our eyes before reuniting with dirt?
