Don't give up

Don't give up

A Poem by

A poem I have dedicated to my friend Chris. I know how hard things are for him right now, but I want him to know no matter what he is going through...I am here for him. Hope you like it Chris. :)

"
I know how you feel my friend
deep down inside your core,
I know you want your pain to end
and be rid of it evermore.

I know it's hard to deal with life
and always anticipate each day,
I honestly can't say it'll get better
I can't tell you that you will be okay.

Because I myself honestly don't know
whether or not you will be fine, but
if you ever need someone to talk to,
you know you're always a friend of mine.

It's unfortunate that people like us
have been diagnosed with a certain disorder,
that doesn't mean it should hold us back
we can make it across any border.

I know what you're going through
I've been there one too many times before,
people thinking you're different or annoying
so far to the point, it made your heart sore.

I just wanted to say that you're special
in your own crazy, freakish kind of way
but there is nothing wrong with that
because so am I, so with you I will stay.

So please promise me no matter what
happens that you wont give up on me,
because if I lose a friend...I will also lose
a part of my heart, don't you see?

I will never give up on you because
I can clearly see that you are in need
of someone to talk to so you don't
hurt yourself and bleed.

I'm here if you ever need to talk or
if you ever need to cry or break down,
and always remember that whatever happens
my dear friend, I will always be around.

So no matter what you say
and no matter what you do,
just know that in the end
I will ALWAYS be here for you.

And promise me, I'm begging you...Don't give up.
