The Real End

The Real End

A Poem by Travis Ralston aka LIAR
"

Drifting away...

"

The waves roll in
As the sun goes to sleep
I'm on a little boat
Drifting towards damnation

Hello cold sky
How are you
I'm really sad

Just cradle me longer
Show me
That there is reason to smile
In this dream

The fish told me
I was headed for
The real end of the world

And so
I cried, cried, cried
As fate slowly swallowed my soul
And said it tasted so good

And I fell
Fell real hard
To the bottom of the ocean blue

And I began to miss
All the people I knew
And then I regretted
Those chances I never took

As I sunk into hell
And my lungs filled with water
I lost my mind

For days I died
In every way known
They had lost my body
And I was an egg wrapped in a cocoon

Run little freak
Forget your hope
Embrace the end

The waves roll out
And the sun wakes
I'm nowhere to be found
And I may never return

Emotional write here and sad, very well written.

Hopelessness and despair abounds here, heavy, as if pulling you to that watery grave.
Nice job with the imagery here. Hope you aren't feeling this way.
