I Hold A Key

I Hold A Key

A Poem by [.forever.dreaming.]

In my hand I hold a key,
To what you have yet to see,
A place of wonder and of good,
The place you really wish I could,
Hand the key and let you go,
Only if that were so,
Take a look at me once again,
Close your eyes and count to ten,
Now open your eyes and take a look,
I am that which is pictured in a horror book,
Massive wings of black and tar,
Holding a blackened heart in a jar,
That which I hold is the key,
To a fate which you are soon to see,
No good can happen, no good can be,
When I am the creature you have to see,
The life you led was far from gold,
Which is reflected in what I hold,
Your time is over theres no turning back,
It's time to deal with the impeding black,
So take your key from my hand,
And adventure on to your Promised land.
