Undying Love

Dedicated to all the mothers in the world, especially my mom. Let this be my unique way of greeting each and everyone of you a 'Happy Mother's Day!'.

 

How are you dear mother?

Asks this child of yours,

Peering at your wrinkled face,

Patiently awaiting a reply,

Yearning to hear your voice.

 

Minutes pass by gradually,

Offering not comfort but pain

Time alone can tell

How long you can stay.

Eternal slumber is at bay,

Ready to claim your soul,

Stealing you away.

 

Dear mom, no matter what,

Always, I'll be your child,

Years of love proved it so.

This sort of made me sad, you know the feeling you get when you see a picture of a lonely person, the chill down your spine, the goose flesh? Thats what I felt. It seems so simple, so plain,(same thing, I know lol) but when you look deeper it dawns on you... there's more to it. Awesome!
