Buried in Plastic

Buried in Plastic

A Poem by Michael Handel
"

A little somethin somethin, as they say.

"

Digging out, from within

he digs and digs, digs and digs

deep, a live life lived inside sin

entombed in filth, his hands break free

spade in hand, digs out from in

his goal to rise from living death

in zombie stance says

F**k the night!

Back to the dawn where

plastic hearts plaster love in

hollow art

Micheal, this is so characteristic of your rebellious style. I love the way the lines in your pieces seem to be declarations of your personal philosophy as opposed to simply statements that lead from one thing to the next within the confines of the specific piece. That, of course, is the way I see it, at any rate.

I absolutely love this. I am going to feature this piece on the Cloak and Dagger page. I feel it boldly represents the mission of the liberation of the imagination that leads to ideas like these. Great write.

Yeah, I like this a lot too. I'd leave you a really long awesome review but I'm tired and I'd probably just sound like I was high. But basically I agree with everything Shrew said. Kat-stamp. [Also I thought I had already reviewed this... I don't know where my head has been lately...]

Gorgeous symbolism. I love how he breaks out from the Earth into a plastic world. "plastic hearts plaster love in
hollow art" is quite true of these days. Amazing writing!
