All Those Old Days

All Those Old Days

A Poem by Paul Pruett
"

Missing a great love. DPEW

"

Can you remember when our eyes first locked?

That first kiss.

The long times we made love, bodies intertwined.

Sweat upon glorious sweat.

My dreams go back to those long begotten days.

Those days of love.

The endless joy of you.

Time has raged in my life.

Ne’er shall those days come again.

Ne’er shall I look upon your smile.

The winds of time do sweep away your voice.

It whispers.

Far off.

Fading.

Gone.

…..and thus do I weep
