The Darker, Sweeter Side of the Night.

A Poem by Paul Pruett
"
I admit I stole the title, but who could resist an opening line like that.
"

Relax.
Listen to the dark enfold us.
Velvet black arms of silk.
O, beloved, lay with me here.
Honey suckle wind caresses your body.
E’en through that I smell your beauty.
Love races my heart.
Pounds, pounds, it pounds for you.
Only for you.
Listen.
Oh, listen.
I have no dreams left.
Nightmares gone fleeting into the past.
Gone are my wishes.
Fulfilled are them all.
Fulfilled by you.
This prayer in my arms.
God is so good.
He gave me my love.
A tear wells up.
Not of sadness, my love, of praise.
Listen.
Listen, oh, listen.
Let me speak softly those words unto you again.
My beloved, relax, let the dark enfold us.

Wow! This was beautiful. I enjoy reading this, it is so stunning and soft, like a heartbeat in the darkness...I loved it. Great write my friend.
