chapter 2: Alexander

I sighed I have been with my sister, cam and Theo, For decades maybe even a millennia. I looked at my sister, she was smiling at cam kissing him on the cheek her arm linked with his. I was happy for my sister meeting her mate but I only stayed with her because she said that if I stayed with her I would find my mate, “hey Alexander you okay? I know your depressed about finding your mate but she’s out there somewhere plus Tammy told me that you might find her today,” at that I brightened up. I have always liked Theo not just because he also doesn’t have a mate but because he knows how I feel and always wants to help, “thanks Theo you’re the best” I smiled, “ hey lets go to the horse races!” Tammy said with a bright smile that always makes everyone smile, “sure Tammy lets go” she squealed. she reminded me of  a little girl. We were laughing and talking and as we talked there was man  who was talking crazy talk, “seriously I heard a person’s voice in my head saying number 7 in my head and then number 7 won” the other man who was bald just rolled his eyes, “well then why didn’t you hear that ‘voice’ when we were buying the ticket?” I laughed and they turned around, “is something funny kid?” the man said, “no just it’s a little crazy to hear voices” the other man mouthed thank you, “oh yeah?” the man was about to punch me but I grabbed it careful to keep calm to not shock him to raise suspicions. I then twisted it, “don’t blame me for your craziness and don’t rely on violence to save you, anger is a weakness” Theo then helped me and made him back away we smiled and left were we saw other teenagers leaving laughing their heads off 3 girls and 1 guy. I thought back to the man, he said that he heard voices in his head. It was either he is crazy or there was a mythical creature here. As we were walking we saw a little group of kids talking then a girl whispered to another girl and pointed to a girl walking towards them with a lot of sticky gooey food. They both nodded and waited. I looked at Tammy and she was smiling. Then the girl dropped a bunch of food on the other girl who was blond. I looked at the other one, “agony” she whispered then the girl fell to the floor screaming in agony. Vampire. The other girls laughed and so did the boy I realized they were the people I saw, “hey doesn't that girl look familiar?” Tammy asked. I looked at the girl she looked ruthless, evil, cruel, mean, but also very beautiful. She did look very familiar. They were laughing then the girl on the floor looked calm and a lot of people were starting to form as her face looked lost, “where am I? what happened I can’t feel anything!” I was confused I looked at Tammy, Theo, and Cam they were also shocked. A vampire with either three powers or they were all vampires. But then I sniffed the air and there was only a little hint of vampire not even one vampire was here. Then they walked away and when they were a safe distance the girl she calmed down. They were walking towards us and the scent was getting only a little stronger the girl in the baggy shorts and tank top was laughing, her back to me, “you shouldn’t have done that” she looked at me in surprise. I saw her face and all I saw was beauty. She was gorgeous even though she was sweating and was in boyish clothes. She was athletic, “that was a selfish act and that is a sign of weakness” told her strongly with confidence, “how is it a selfish act when I was trying to protect my friend?” I looked at her with calmness, even though I was surprised. She spoke with such power that can knock anyone down, “revenge is easy to do but forgiveness is even more stronger” she stared me down and I had to admit that I was scared. Her eyes held ancient power but still very powerful. The eyes of a ruler, “I protect people I love, sorry for having a heart”

“uh hi I’m Tammy” my sister interrupted to clear the air of any tension. the girl studied tammy carefully then smiled, “hi I’m Rosalinda sterling this is my best friend max my friend Nina, and Mercedes.” My sister gave me a questioning look. I too was confused. I remembered Rosalinda sterling from the secrecy. She was ruthless too powerful but this girl looked as if recently changed and she didn't smell like a full vampire yet. She was beautiful with her brown hair cascading her eyes and her beautiful brown eyes. She looked at me in a questioning look. She looked at Nina who had grayish eyes and she shook her head she looked at Mercedes who had blond hair but she shook her head. Lastly she looked at Tammy and gave an understanding look “hey come here I wanna ask you something” i was surprised by her voice of kindness especially after our little incident but I followed her behind a bush, “do you like Tammy?” I laughed, “no! “ her face showed realization and confusion, “but I read your mind and you were talking about someone with brown hair and brown eyes and your sister was a close fit… well other than me but I don’t really think you like me after THAT” she emphasized that to show that she also took our fight as a reason that i shouldn't like her. “no I’m sorry I made a bad impression of myself let’s start over I’m Alexander” I said extending my hand for her to shake. She laughed, “I’m Rosalinda” her laughter was beautiful it was perfect in every way, “so if you don’t like me or Tammy then who were you thinking about?” she said in a mocking tone, “I was thinking about how much you looked like my deceased mother” her smile turned into a frown, “oh I’m so sorry!” she started backing away. I quickly grabbed her hand and  shook my head. How could this girl be the ruthless leader of the secrecy? Not possible plus she smelled human but then again she smelled of vampire, “no! no! its fine really I kinda like it that you look my mother it makes me happy” she smiled. “you look better when you smile” she blushed. So not the missing leader of the secrecy, “what are you guys doing?” I heard a small voice say. I cussed in Italian, “hey Tammy how are you doing?” Rosalinda blushed as Tammy hugged me, “ oh I got it I’m so sorry!” she walked away to her friends, “what’s wrong? Did I interrupt something? Oh I hope I didn’t!” Tammy said with a scared face.

“Uh sorry to break it to you, but yeah you did, now she thinks you’re my girlfriend,”

“ no offense bro but until you change your wardrobe I would never want to date you I mean you might be datable but I would never date you” I laughed and saw Rosalinda staring at us. I motioned her to come over to us, “uh hey how goes it?” she asked nervously, “ Rosalinda we aren’t going out he’s my brother. He likes this one girl he met today but he thinks he blew his chances with her,”

 “oh” her face showed sadness, “actually I came to ask you 2 things” Tammy asked, “shoot” she said while making a little gun sign with her hand, “well i smelled your scent but i was confused are you a vampire? and nodded” Rosalinda’s eyes got wide with excitement, “me too!” Tammy nodded approvingly. I rolled my eyes as if we didn’t know rosalinda was a vampire she wouldn’t have asked her if she was a vampire to her face. “and we were a little confused with your powers” Rosalinda laughed, “oh right mine are survival, telepathy, and infinitive” now I understood why she had all those powers, “and what powers do your friends have?” Tammy said pointing to her friends, “oh them they’re human” she said it like it was the most common thing in the world. “human friends? How is that possible? Don’t you get temptations?” Rosalinda laughed, “oh I’m half- vampire half-human I can eat human food so I eat human food,” this girl was very extra ordinary, “wow Rosalinda that is very surprising!” she laughed, “please call me rose,” I nodded, “do you have parents since you ARE human” Tammy emphasized. I gave her a look and she mouthed what, “yeah I do why?” I smiled she was everything a guy could want. She’s beautiful, kind-hearted, sporty and she could take charge, “oh I guess she wants to talk to them” I told her, “oh yeah I’ll go tell them I have to go brb!” I smiled as I watched her running. She was perfect.
