An Gnathog

A dark tale of An Gnathog once great celtic warrior

The Haunted

OR

                                Än Gnáthóg

Darkness and shadow, gloom, murk.

Befriended fire as it spat flames, its silhouettes dwindled among the cavernous walls.

Juicy, raw, bleeding human flesh, I ate by that fire, yes.

From the many tunnelings of my abode, I hear footsteps, quiet and slow.

Then came echoes, I hear them so.

It hisses of melancholy deeds, deeds I know so well as mine. I could not see it… but I knows it sees me.

From the shadowed walls then comes a hand adorned in silk and silver armour, it                                     bore a shiny blayd,

so I asked the hand, “What is this?”

and it answer “Prince of darkness,”  as it drew the helve,

Then shadow…

Not sent to purgatory, to live out my sinnings… but taken in chains, upon the black ships, ere the white stained gates, halls of the never ending darkness.

SO antediluvian( n-ah-good-way), purge away great warrior ..
The beginning sets the mood & tone of AnG
(I love this: Befriended fire as it spat flames, its silhouettes
dwindled among the cavernous walls.)
You paint a dark sharp shootin' picture of the Prince of Darkness..
Last phrases skewers the soul with great imagery;
HATS OFF TO YOU, Grand Mad Hatter

I liked it heaps. The middle english words are fine, they create a picture of the scene. It is a grand piece. I can't believe you only came second.
First equal?
