Leaving Neverland

Leaving Neverland

By

Jose M. Euvin

The children flew out the window

Never to be seen

To a world full of adventures

And Wendy became their Queen

She told them marvelous stories

Told them fairytales

Spoke of Cinderella

Spoke of witches and spells

They soon forgot their parents

In this wondrous land

They care only for their leader

Better known as Peter Pan

A brave soul who knew no fear

A child without a past

Living where dreams are made of

A placed called Neverland

Fighting thief and pirates

Flying from cloud to cloud

With his fairy guardian

Tinkerbell by his side

Soon the adventure was over

The children had to go to home

Leaving Neverland was painful

Yet all kids turn into adults

Except One!!!

My favorite childrens' story! I think I have all the Peter Pan movies and books! I enjoyed this poem. Some suggestion:

Fighting thief and pirates

"fighting theives and pirates"

TinkleBell by his side

"TinkerBell"... sorry, I chuckled at this. :)

The children had to go to home

"The children had to go home"

Loved it! Thanks for sharing!

i love the work people put into their "fan responses" to original work. sometimes it as good and sometimes better than the original. this addes another dimension to the pan story. if you had to encapsulate the story in just a few short lines, be succinct and yet still tell the story, this would be my choice.
very well done.

haha I dig it, I've studied PP for a couple years and have done several papers on it, gonna present one of them at the Sima Tau Delta convention this week. of course, being in love with Peter, I've also done alot of poems with him too...
anyway, I like this.

Nice poem on a familiar story. I would agree with the editorial changes. Sometimes typos can make your work look silly, so just keep an eye out for them.

yeah i mean your sort of retelling a story that was already written, but i mean you have new rhymes and stuff so i mean it was pretty good. I liked it... good job
