Colon

A Poem by yashsickle
"

I love you

"
Time wasted, sprawling through empty desk dreams of an every day life.
Bed ridden, trapped while cancerous whispers dilute the will to look and touch.
Columns, significant columns, cry and exhume self-indulgence.
Silent futures lying motionless on chilled night pavement as evil roams to spite.
Lurking wisdom baffled by tragedy, it's reach is too short while piercing notes construct an irreversible melody.

Strung to the bed and trapped in a body flooding in disease while dreaming of an every day life one cannot have.. Heartbreakingly poignant.

It's simple and short yet lets us see the bigger picture of what cancer is and the sadness brought with it. I loved it.

Indeed, a simply perfect piece.

The poem make me desire to know more. You open the door to the cancer and sadness. Thank you for sharing the poem.
