Taiwanese Kites

Taiwanese Kites

A Poem by Raquella
"

thank you taiwanese knight

"
Lay down, my sweetest child,
And let the Night fix your troubles.
He'll wrap is satin wings around you,
And pull you, shameless, into the arms of Adultery,
Never losing the absence in his dark, unforgiving
Punishments.

He has never ceased to mask your pain away,
With perfumes and roses, kisses and hugs.
With him, I stand, perched on the edge of happiness,
Yes, I have caressed the outside many times,
But to feel the bliss of others is all that I need.

Everything that I've ever loved, has been swept away,
Along with papers, and artwork sent to the graves for
The bird songs that pushed my childhood over the edge.

After midnight, my eyes are still forced awake.
To bottles to paper, unearthing words forgotten,
I've come to realize, now that, this is part of why were here,
Come, run faster than you have before,
Let's swallow sleeping pills like they are water,
And we can swim in the silence of ecstasy forever.

Everything that I've every needed, has been pulled away,
Along with love notes, and words never spoken,
All have been pushed into the bleakness.
I’m looming like a runaway on the cusp of the day,
Waiting for the bus to take me far, far away.
