After Dark - Chapter One

After Dark - Chapter One

A Chapter by lawrence bear

Darkness Falls

In the dead of night as it appeared. The Moon had looked as though it had blanketed the sun; with a sudden breeze that blows, whistling through the trees and while the leaves rustled on the ground.  A shadowy figure emerges from the darkness. Silently floating through the forest, like a whisper in the wind. Its feet hit the forest floor like a spring as it seems to get further and further with each step. It was racing towards something. Towards an opening on the edge of a hill, that had overlooked a small town. And then as silent as the forest was, making way as darkness falls, it was broken with a howl that had stretched across the night sky.

A very mysterious start that is sure to keep the reader reading on, which is good, of course. Great job, once again.

A pretty nice attention getting first chapter. Who or what is making the howl? Something sinister, no doubt.
