I am the black bird

I am the black bird

A Poem by potato

I am the black bird.
Some say I symbolize death,
Others say wisdom.
Me,
I believe neither.
I am just a bird,
True?
No.
I am not a symbol,
yet not so simple
to be just a bird.
I am much,
much,
more.
I am life,
Yet I am death.
I am heaven,
yet I am hell.
I am the sun,
Yet I am the moon.
I am the black bird.
I see all,
Yet know nothing.
I hear,
But never listen.
So,
What,
Truly,
Am I?

I really enjoyed this piece. I love the simplicity and yet the idea of depth behind the black bird. Good stuff!

You are what so many try to be, yet fail in the attempt.
You are something truly amazing.
