Dear Monster

Dear Monster

A Chapter by Sir Drift & Mr. Pulse

Dear Monster, you have done it this time
Rip and sink the love handed to you
Played the rosiest tune for all to love
And now there is more than just one on those fingers you roll

Fanged teeth that sink into the streams of passion
Telling all the ears how sweet a sound of their voice can be
You don't really feel the hurt
But you can't deny the love

Is it a drug? Is it an emptiness?
Why pluck all these beautiful flowers from the garden?
Of course, all you know is love
But what would it be for you, what would it be for me?

I don't understand, but I do want to know
This curious disease inside
How silly it would be
To find out this monster is inside of me

A Monster You Say?

Yes, we all do, unfortunately. Thanks k you for stopping by. I hope I appeased your liking.
So Drift and Pulse have an internal dilemma to finalize on this..being a monster. Hmm

Ah, the "monster" of self-doubt or betrayal, recoiling to protect itself from another painful wound, thin scars still vulnerable? So many deep, meaningful questions posed in your poem, in artful poetic form, and yet only the reader can answer. Nice work!
