Incomplete

Incomplete

A Chapter by Dr. YumnaKay
"

For a friend that I miss badly...

"
Feeling incomplete
Unable to process my thoughts
Where have you gone
Leaving me to cope
With the feeling of emptiness
And the dread
Will I never hear that laughing voice of yours?
Those happy emotions
That filled me up when my eyes met yours

Ready to die, aren't I?
What is this world to me
When I can't have you?
When I can't call you up
To tell you what I'm going through
Why didn't you tell me before
Such a burden to you, was I?

A poor soul pleading the beloved to come back and trying to get justification of the act.

This may touch many of us, would have happened at some point in life where you don't know or want to know what exactly the other person left you for.

Again, well written!

Its a horrible thing when you lose someone you have entrusted so many things to.

Some people just need to be alone. Others dont like to stay still for too long and have regular 'purges' of people from their close-circle. It sounds as cold hearted as it feels but that is how they are and they may always be that way but its they who suffer having no real friends or support network when they will need it most.
You sound like a great friend but your loyalty and concern are wasted on these 'rolling stone' types of people. I hope you find a true friend who values what you have to offer a relationship and doesnt treat you badly in this way.
You state your case here without malice and with some eloquence.
Good job

It's a terrible feeling, uncertainty. You know what's happening but you can't quite grasp the implications. That sense of despair in the second verse reaches out and touches the heart. Good write, YK

I quite agree with you! Helplessness is the thing which kills a person emotionally. Thank you, Ted, .. read more

Beautiful expression, deep and moving. This could be romantic love or the love of best friends who have become separated either permanently or temporarily.

The last line is devastatingly good

Togetherness- a clue to love at rest. It was really the heart speaking..."Those happy emotions
That filled me up when my eyes met yours." I love to hear these lines.

You certainly reveal a strength of feeling here, and that romantic idea that you will die because of unrequited love. Not many people actually do!

You make a delightful concoction out of your loss, reminding us how pleasing it must be to find you.
