A sequel to "Shield"

Invisible to you 

Standing there in front of you

Yet your eyes see right 

through me.

Blurred, broken images form 

In my eyes

From the night when you said,

"It's all over, 

there is no 'us',

just 'you' and 'me', going our separate ways"

And I accept it. This numbing, yet ever present pain which resides in me like a malignant disease,

to which there is no cure.

And I accept it. This fate, a gift by you, the last thing that I'll have, 

that although I never moved from your sight 

yet I'm

Invisible to you...

It's a sad thing when this happens to us, and can be very tough to deal with. But it is also better to have loved than never to have loved at all. (It means nothing at the time but as time goes by, we heal and start to reflect on things differently)

These moments happen to many of us. Yes...it breaks us down, but also it makes us stronger.

Some perfect choice of words in this piece. Well done....

It's all about perception. One truly doesn't have to close their eyes to stop seeing anyone..
