Aversion || Sanity (30w)

A Chapter by Dr. YumnaKay
"

Spontaneous thoughts.

"
Sometimes,
the curiosity for what life has in store,
is far greater than our aversion towards
what's happening in the now,
which is what keeps us sane
at most times.

I agree with your well-stated view of human nature, but I would venture to say it's true for only about half of people. There's another half who really do picture only doom & gloom on the path ahead, so that there's not a bit of buoyancy or hope, in the act of moving ahead in life. I've noticed this dividing line more as I grow old, surrounded mostly by friends who thrive or shrivel in this part of life (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

A good spontaneous thought her, you are absolutely right. 'It can only get better,' is a powerful driving force.

Soaking in the wisdom and wonder of these words. Yes, it may well be the only reason I'm still alive, the curiosity and the hope that rises in it. Sometimes the "now" seems an endless winter place.
