Dormant

Dormant

A Chapter by Dr. YumnaKay
"

Midnight scribbles.

"
I have burned the bridges
and walked on tight ropes
of meaningless hopes,

which bloom
in graveyard of thoughts;

where wanderers roam,
silent, with hollow laughs,
while nursing ...dormant hearts.

Dormant... the words speaks of winter... of life sleeping to the point of death... or as near to death as one can come. And yet your midnight scribbles are filled with so much life... even in the graveyard places of your mind. Yes.. yes... even in graveyards life finds a way. What an agonizing beauty you've created. 🖤🖤🖤

This kinda describes the autumn of my life . . . so many things that I thought "defined life" are now going or gone dormant, but this is not a bad eventuality . . . ridding my life of dormant detritus, I've inadvertently made space for new ways of seeing & being (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts here and for reading, BG. Appreciated. :)
This Monday Scribble has the tone of exactly how I feel today. Heavy sigh.... Doc, you know how to put just the right patina on piece that makes the reader melt into the words. Great work...

These lines are crammed with dark imagery Dr Y. Those hollow laughs and dormant hearts so uncomfortable to live with. It seems that your midnight scribbles are both written and painted in black.

All good with me Dr Y. I wish the same for you :)
this is amazing!! i love the mystifyingly creatively dark imagery...this reminds me
of one of s. plath’s poems.

perhaps one in the midst of the heavy burden of anguish in having to let go of persons or situations

brilliant dictation, word-play.

the laughs certainly become hollow, as our hearts begin to give up hope of love...
and we can only hope for that special someone to come along and raise us from the figurative dead.

Thank you for reading and your words here, Jacob. Always appreciated.
This has a tinge of sadness as the protagonist contemplates the futility of trying to be hopeful in the eye of disaster and misguided ruminations as the focus of their attention does not reciprocate and leaves them unrequited.
