My garden of despair

My garden of despair

A Poem by Smokey

Look into the pupils of the peacock's ploom

The vivid green eyes that shall consume you soon

Don't avert your gaze from their hypnotic stare

For you can never leave my garden of despair

Why did you leave me? Did I drive you away?

Well now you're trapped with this peacock's dismay

I owe you no mercy, for you showed me none

So prepare for an eternity of being unequivocally undone

How could you, relinquish my heart from your hands?

You ice queen of terror, I can't understand

Regardless, my broken heart thursts for your submission

So surrender yourself to my kingdom of perdition

Yet not an ocean of time could replace what you've taken

This is not forgiveness so do not be mistaken

But leave my dominion, my disrepaired home

A home we could have shared, a home we could have grown old in, and become whole in....

My garden of despair

Good read, bit extensive for my 'hobo-ish' vocabulary, but I got the jist.

I like rhyme and you have used it beautifully in this soulful poem!

I love this! Yet again, impeccable choice of vocabulary. The feel of this was somewhat familiar and you bring it across fluently. Keep it up!
