Racing Time

Life passes by faster than the 15 minutes of wait before your favourite TV show.

The dolls, the balls, the crawls, the falls

All the memories your childhood holds

When the music to you was all about rhymes

Who in the world does not miss those times?

Then the friends, the trends, the funny blends

You wished that stage never ends

Cracking jokes with mates and laughing all day

You never knew it would go away

Now the goals, the roles, the annoying calls

Trying to discover the magic holes

The need, the greed to be in lead

Hunts you back and make you bleed

You smoke, you drink, you choke, you think

Where can you find the missing link?

The rolling dice, the falling skies

The times when you hear, a lot of cries 

The nears, the fars, the love and the scars

Ends up starting pointless wars

But life goes on and brings more surprises

While you keep chasing your shadow to get out of the crisis

And just when you think you could race against the time

You become a victim of your very own crime
