This is wonderful. I like the description; I think it sets up the sort of malice this liar deals out that you speak of in the poem. I enjoy personification when it's used so well, and it's true that once the liar has the first say, truth slowly bleeds out but doesn't even get a chance to speak until it's too late. People that lie out of convenience or compulsively without considering the consequences of their actions really are a disturbing group, and you capture that so well in a few short lines. Well done!
