A Date with Destiny

A Date with Destiny

A Poem by Zugzwang

The girl with blue eyes
squats in the shadows.
A concrete-honed switchblade
winks prettily
from out of the gloom.
The thin blade screams
for you to come closer.
She'll be elbow deep
in your guts
by the time
you've opened your mouth.
