Recurring Mental Mutilation

Recurring Mental Mutilation

A Poem by Hello, Goodbye
"

..the dark shadow..

"
*
The pain it claims again, all attention.

Fire of sadness burning all resistance.

Melancholy in every word that is mentioned...

Futility completely tipping the balance.

Cerebral debauchery...

Killing the joyful brain waves inside of me.

A dark shadow consuming my soul...

I'm succumbing to despondency.

It's like being sucked into a vacuum and being deflated...being caught under "the bell jar" as Sylvia Plath accurately put it and sometimes there is no good reason why.

Wow I almost fell in that pit with you. Like standing on the edge of a cliff with vertigo....

A very short and simple poem. A write full of desire and emotion. I really enjoyed reading this. Great job :)

This is really good I had to read it twice in order to understand it fully, and i like it, it's almost as though you're speaking of drugs cause once you're hooked you have to keep doing drugs in order to feel "normal" so you depend on them, I like this poem :)
