Today, A Better Day

Today, A Better Day

A Poem by Zimbo
"

A parody of vindictive, hateful breakup songs.

"
My car is breaking down
There's college bills in the mail
But things can't be all that bad
Now that my Ex has gone to jail

The cellars's gone and flooded
And grandpa's kidney failed
But life isn't all bad
Now that my Ex has gone to jail

I could get hooked on bath salts
The parents look at me and go pale
But I will think only of positives
Now that my Ex has gone to jail

I will take kidney stones
I'll take blizzard, rain, and hail
And not once shall I complain
Now that my Ex has gone to jail

You think my credit is bad?
You should see my sales
But my life ain't all that bad
Now that my Ex has gone to jail

A cat could become dictator
While the whole world sieg hails
And happily I'd look the other way
Now that my Ex has gone to jail

The beauty of optimism. I like it, real yet pleasantly funny.
