Love's Confusion

A poem for those confused and unsure about love.

Love is a fragile and fickle thing.

Which is like a delicate flower.

Love sometimes comes with a sting.

With an infinite power.

 

Love is when you feel torn.

When you are far apart.

Love is that sharp thorn.

That you feel in your heart.

 

Love is when you feel secure.

Just being in the same room.

Love is feeling unsure.

Like a soon to be groom.

 

Love is when you worry.

If they are angered or mad.

Love is when all else is blurry.

When you’ve filled them with glad.

 

Love is when you stay.

When you think you should run.

Love is sometimes a cliche.

And sometimes as scary as a gun.

 

But love is endless and deep.

Love is amazing and true.

Love is something that will keep

Love is our emotional glue.

 

And love is worth just an hour.

Even if it costs us a lifetime.

Love is as tall as a tower.

A mountain worth the climb.

 

Love can be quite a confusion.

But love can be felt in every breath.

Love can seem an illusion

But love endures life and death.

Author's Note

I slightly tweaked the first stanza and completely rewrote the last stanze. Tweaked first stanza again, to try and make it flow better.

not bad

the overall idea of confusion came across, your thoughts in this seemed very scattered and confused. you seemed to worry more about rhyming than actually making this flow. as well as that, your first stanza seemed to be of a different style then the rest of it.. a little tweeking can fix. i did like what u had to say, very true about love..it just needs some re-wording...

Very amazing, I agree with you other comment. The first stanza should be reworked.But other than the I felt the meaning of love was well expressed. Very good job. Keep up the good work.

Very good, powerful. Maybe rethink the final stanza to flow more with the rest but over it is really good.
