Arctic Fox

Arctic Fox

A Poem by Julie Morgan

I am nothing
but an arctic fox
trapped in the
summer heat

I do not belong
and the faces I see
are so unfamiliar
and unfriendly

And I wish to be
somewhere cold
with snow and
icy islands

Along with the
welcoming site
of company
like me
