Guardian Angel

I hated it when you used to call me "kid".

I would cross my arms and throw a fit.

My face would flush and my face I hid.

You made me fall for you bit by bit.

You always had a smile on.

A perfect smile at that.

I really wish that you weren't gone.

We still had so much to talk about, or just randomly chat.

I will always love you.

A hole is in my heart now you're not here.

But after all that we have been through,

it still feels like you are near.

You were my first love.

You always will be.

I hope you're watching from above.

You are my guardian angel, Cody.

This is a poem about my first love. He left. For good. He didn't want to live anymore so he killed himself. I miss him everyday. I love you Cody...

I know exactly how this feels... or rather everything from the second stanza on. I am sorry you went through something like this, really I am. At least you have penned a gorgeous piece as a result.
