I have watched them fly, dainty fuschia flat feet in air. 'h's, 'ks' leaping, hanging from their poles. I have held 'y' stretching its sleepy arms, and sent it your way. Words splaying across daisy laden fields, thumbing silver edges of clouds. Falling in multidimensional hue, trails, laying out pale purls beyond cloistered miles, connecting two lonely hearts.
I can shed more emotional luggage with words, than by shedding a thousand orgasms. A compassionate shoulder cushioning my clumsy head, patient ears solacing day long rants. What else could a bereaved soul ask for?...
I have tried to make myself understand, to my dear paramour. Batting my eyelids, dilating my eyes.. My heart fluttering on mascara adorned lids. He wallowed into pool of my eyes, yet returned befuddled.
Give me pastel scented sheets, or else roughened paper scented with ink seeping from my pen. My words would dance, spring on paper beam.. My soul would be bare, in few turns of clocks hands. Beaming at few heliocentric focal points of my life. Grimacing, shivering at other points... Few of my words..few of yours, a lifelong concatenation.
written as only those who scribe poetry can capture sucha still
moment in time, this is as the portrait of beauty you describe,
how words connect the soul, i think beyond th imagery there lies
a wise saying, timeless classic and brilliant, a poem that flows
straight into the readers heart and paints an image of expression.
Wow, this is absolutely classical. It somehow reminded me of the story of Robert and Elizabeth Browning - they've always been an exceptional example of word soul-mates.
The stanzas are perfectly in place and you created a wonderful imagery with some amazingly artistic vocab. Goes in my favorites, well done!
When I read your piece, this quote came to mind..."I love the swirl and swing of words as they tangle with human emotions."
This poetry is an excellent example of how words are the most powerful, igniting spark from the folds of the human heart. Here you have demonstrated with such creativity a play and pull of language many of us take for granted. Sort of like a Rubik's cube, an infinitely colourful combination. Excellent title too, words DO connect souls in good ways and bad.
I can shed more emotional luggage with words,
than by shedding a thousand orgasms.
I also find this passage profound. Words are an extreamly powerful medium of expression and you have no problem expressing yourself to others in the artistic way of poetry. Words can bring us closer or devide us permenently even if we are together. Words are the link to our souls as well as the eyes. Well done Swaha.
