I am a SAHM (Stay at Home Mom) who has always enjoyed writing and who has always put it on the back burner because of other "more important" pursuits. In the back of my mind I fancy myself a writer and a really good lounge singer (blue sequined dress and laying on the piano included) and since I know that my secret fantasy of being a lounge singer is not something that can be realized...yet, and I also have learned in my older and wiser new motherhood that asking for help is important and necessary to keep one's sanity...I guess what I am trying to say in a round-about, run-on-sentence kind of way, is I need help with motivation and writing everyday.

I hope to use this forum to inspire, to discipline and to learn about writing, writers, and to hone and get in touch with my creative voice.

I feel like a fledgling vampire, completely inundated with input; all of my senses going haywire. Too much stimuli! I need focus and I need people to feed from and to inhale. In a sense, I hope to eventually be comfortable enough with this collective of writers to share my writing, critique others writing and generally derive encouragement to continue all my creative pursuits!
