About Me

ARZELL the Esoteric (Born Gregory Arzell Willis) is an Atlanta born Native. A military war veteran, serving in the combat mission against terrorism, “Operation Enduring Freedom” in Bagram Afghanistan. Contributor and member of organizations such as the, ACLU, the HRC, Kaboom! and the PTA. Arzell earned a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies at South University in Savannah, GA and works as a Paralegal writing legal documents for Attorneys. Arzell is a husband, father, and casual gamer. Arzell took an interest in writing after the discovery of historical African American writers, James Baldwin, Langston Hughes, and Dr. John Henrik Clarke. Arzell is a student of spiritual philosophy and various religious beliefs around the world including Christianity, Buddhism, Hindu, and Islamic philosophy, as well as African beliefs of the Hermetic Philosophy including astronomy and physics. Born on October 31 (Halloween in America) Arzell also takes an interest in the occult studies. As an introverted auditory personality type, he is usually alone listening to music to help express his artistic voice.
His writing style reflects a poetic and philosophical insight to life and personal experiences. As a fiction writer he draws inspiration from historical and religious folklore and combines this with a science fiction and modern interpretation of familiar stories.
