About Me

Whatever education was about, I didn't get it. Though maths was a complete conundrum, music, poetry and performance soaked into my life. While dyslexia is no sin, it is not a great help in the school system and since I transpose letters and numbers math remained a mystery to me. I finally escaped in year 9 having passed English, (I don't know how.) Geography, ( I cheated.) Truancy and procrastination.

As a result of Dyslexia I am widely unread but I thank God for the ABC Radio programs where books where read and all manner of subjects dealt with.

About 10 years ago as a result of a course with Landmark Education I started to write and share my poems and was encouraged to create a book which I did. Having found a love for poetry and performing it I have since joined the "ARVOs" Australian Rhyming Verse Orators and to polish my performances I joined Toastmasters
I regularly perform at the ARVOs, Unplugged a local open mike session at Coronet Bay Vic.
I have published one book of poems titled "If you could see.) I have won or had honourable mentions in a few competitions. I was in the top 20 in the Melbourne Writer's Festival for 140 character poems, that is poems that are complete and fit in a twitter post or SMS. the prize was to have some of my work posted on the big screen at FED Square Melbourne.
