I only write occasionally when inspiration hits. Most my poems are downers because I find that, unfortunately, the sad emotions and experiences are easier to find the words for (as I show in "Elusive Words"). This however does not mean that I am a complete downer in real life. On the contrary. It's just that the sad part of me is what mainly shows in my writing. I hope you enjoy and I love getting comments and constructive criticism so feel free to write!
