About Me

I am an avid reader, and from the age of two, when I first started to read, I have been checking out of reality to take on all sorts of new adventures.

I have been dabbling in writing for years, and have a million and one ideas rattling around in my head at any given time, but it's only recently that I've gotten around to actually sitting down and getting my novel out, and it's slowly taking form out of the lump of globby clay that is story in its raw form.

It'll be a slow process, especially since I started writing and then realised that it was actually the middle of a trilogy and now I have three times as much work as I thought I did to get my book published.

Also, I'm Australian and have to figure out how the world on the other side of the globe works before I can fully finish it. Figures.

Hey - missed this before, sorry. :(

You're welcome. I like your work. :) And it helps that we're in the same country. :P

I'm still working on my novel(s - somehow they multiplied while I wasn't paying attention). It takes up most of my writing time, which isn't as much as I'd like while I'm trying to find work. Most of my short stories are things I wrote while I was trying to get myself back into writing, or really old stories.

I have the same issue with trying to keep things short, (i think the term is hypergraphia) but I've found having a time-limit helps. Of course, since I find writing short stories a lot harder than writing a novel (or at least hard in a different way), it doesn't always help as much as I'd like.

I'm always up to chat about writing and books and stories of any sort. Even if I do tend to take a while to respond. :P

Hi - thanks for the friend add. I can't say I have been on here a great deal in the last couple of years and I haven't been as writing as much as I should be - but I will get there. You certainly have a lot of stuff stored up. Mine is mostly longer .. novel length work... with plenty missing it seems anyhoo. I have an issue trying to keep things short so I challenged myself with putting together a collection of short stories 1-2k words each in a different genre to see if I could manage anything other than romance and fantasy - so far...only got 1.5 stories written. Anyhoo ... see my issue with excess words continues... but welcome to the cafe and maybe we will get a chance to chat about our work - handy to be in the same time zone lol - keep it up :)
