Look and See

This morning, at waterside, a sparrow flew
to a water rock and landed, by error, on the back
of an eider duck; lightly it fluttered off, amused.
The duck, too, was not provoked, but, you might say, was
laughing.

This afternoon a gull sailing over
our house was casually scratching
its stomach of white feathers with one
pink foot as it flew.

Oh Lord, how shining and festive is your gift to us, if we
only look, and see.

thank you for the constructive review. I use punctuation often, but not always - sometimes the line breaks force the pauses. I read this several times and find it hard to see a place where punctuation would make the meaning of the poem more clear.... I will say, I'd much rather get a review that questions why I do things and causes me to look again - than a simple pat on the back - so, thank you - sincerely....I just disagree on this piece.
